Karina Matias
Born in Rio de Janeiro, Karina Matias has always been obsessed with the fashion world. As a business student at the University of Florida, she started her journey with accessories when she moved to Florida in 2001. Karina began in this business when her friends and co-workers were impressed by the jewelry she wore and asked to buy from her. At that time, she was buying and selling jewelry to friends and co-workers. What started as a freelance to make extra money became a full-time job, a passion, a destiny and a career.
She represents a top of the line team of jewelry designers and "Indigena" artisans from her native Brazil. In 2005, she began a new stage in her career by launching her own collection, inspired by the dynamics of her culture and the memories of her childhood in Rio - the Carnival, the Rain Forest, the ocean, the cheerfulness of her townspeople and her desire to celebrate women's inner beauty in her own unique way.
