SKIN is the FIRST line of organic tanks and tees designed by and for and queer/LGBT women who are sexy, progressive, and environmentally conscious. It's not about black or white or rainbow. It is about respect, culture, and self-expression as well as making a statement and wearing it loud. But most of all, it's about cool clothes for cool people. We draw inspiration from street culture, music, art, architecture, and current affairs. SKIN expresses our sexuality and aesthetic values while helping the environment and charitable causes. We believe in being socially responsible to sustain and protect our planet. 4% of our sales proceeds are donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and 1% For The Planet.
We have developed our garments in line with our ecological vision by using 100% organic home-grown cotton. This cotton has been cultivated without pesticides or harmful chemicals, it has then been handwashed following traditional techniques of using essential oils and Marseille soap. All garments are handmade in the USA.
The fabrics have been dyed with either natural dyes or low impact fiber reactive dyes. Every detail, including the prints and the labels has been produced respecting nature. |
