Tirana Jewelry
Tirana Jewelry offers one-of-a-kind and limited edition pieces made from post-consumer precious metals and vintage components from around the world. Drawing on her training in fine arts and interest in body ornamentation, Graciela Fuentes, a Mexican artist based in New York, launched Tirana Jewelry in 2006. Her award-winning work integrates creative design and impeccable craftsmanship with ethical modes of production.
Graciela Fuentes' work has been shown extensively in select galleries and museums in New York and abroad, including Museo del Barrio, Queens Museum of Art, Exit Art, Chelsea Art Museum, La Casa Encencida (Madrid), and Museo de Arte Moderno (Mexico City). Her Amoeba Ring, a signature Tirana piece, was among the top finalists of the People's Design Award of the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum. She holds an MFA from New York University and is an alumnus of the Independent Study Program at the Whitney Museum of American Art. |
